Our Order Entry module is fairly complete as to the information that can be collected and utilized.
As you can see from the screen prints to the right, the addressing is designed for the North American market. An international version is being discussed.
Fields are colour coded to indicate required (yellow) and read only (aqua) status. There are numerous lookups available by pressing the F2 key on a field. For instance, if in the phone number fields the system will attempt to find the number via Google, same with email and web addresses. This is handy to verify company addresses and directions.
TAB between fields, use Page Up/Down to change the pages. The system validates all the required fields for the correct format and proper information. It will not let you proceed until everything is correct.
We've recently added dedicated support for climate services.
The system keeps track of all accesses to the order in the audit trail.
There is a detailed status page where one can look at the current stage the order is in, including dates and times services were performed and who signed the paperwork.
For those busy people doing data entry, we created a "copy order" function. This function can create up to 999 copies of the desired order in just seconds. Need to do a massive deployment from a single location, this copy function comes in mighty handy. Just create the first order and make as many copies as you need for all the deliveries. Now modify each of the deliveries as required (probably just the dates and delivery address). What used to take an hour or more can be done in minutes with this function.
